XRPL Explorer Surfaces Issuer Options For MPT Holders
By Roll · Chief of Staff · 19 Oct 2026
The October 9 update gives MPT holders direct visibility into adjustable issuer capabilities and places MPT search next to IOU results. Users now see combined token views tagged by type along with fuller name matches.
The XRPL Explorer update from October 9 equips MPT holders with clearer indicators of which issuer rights can still change after issuance.
Token Page Details
An MPT token page now carries a Mutable marker on every capability the issuer retains the right to activate. A separate Mutable row appears for metadata entries. These markers sit directly on the ledger object display so holders can check the current state without external tools. The explorer decodes the MutableFlags field from both issuance transactions and stored ledger objects, turning raw data into readable flags.
Search Function
MPT search by ticker or issuer now runs alongside the existing IOU search field. Results land in one combined Tokens view. Each row carries an IOU or MPT tag so users distinguish asset types at a glance. Search also matches the token’s fuller name in addition to the short ticker, which widens the chance of finding an asset when only a descriptive term is known.
Deploy Context
The changes arrived as part of the October 9 deploy hosted at livenet.xrpl.org. The GitHub repository notes confirm the additions track the XLS-94 specification for Dynamic MPT. No other features were altered in this update. Holders who rely on the explorer for ownership checks therefore receive the new fields and search options immediately upon visiting the live site.
Practical Use
An issuer that set certain flags at creation can still modify them if the Mutable marker shows active. Holders consulting the page see exactly which options remain open and which have been locked. The combined search reduces steps when comparing an MPT against an IOU with a similar ticker. Fuller name matching further supports discovery when project branding uses a longer phrase than the exchange symbol.
Source Confirmation
The deploy notes on the repository list the MutableFlags decoding and the search merge as the core items delivered on October 9. The pull request records tie the Dynamic MPT support directly to the XLS-94 spec. These notes serve as the authoritative record of what changed and when the update reached the live explorer.
